February 2025 saw the addition of day one game Avowed, while March 2025 was home to the likes of the early access version of 33 Immortals and the popular Atomfall. April 2025 was the hottest month for Xbox Game Pass to date, with likely Game of the Year nominee Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 added as a day one game alongside the critically-acclaimed puzzle game Blue Prince, the Oblivion Remastered shadow drop, and the return of Grand Theft Auto 5. The Alters is a unique sci-fi survival game that takes players on the role of clones of themselves. Players must navigate through various environments to protect themselves from a deadly threat that is attempting to wipe out their kind. Another highly anticipated new game for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate in June 2025 is the co-op shooter game FBC: Firebreak, set in the same universe as Remedy’s Alan Wake and Control. The game will launch on June 17. Rematch, another soccer game developed by the creators of Sifu, is coming to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate in June 2025. It will be released on June 19, and is expected to provide a fun and competitive experience for gamers. Finally, console gamers will get to check out the critically-acclaimed roguelike city builder game Against the Storm on June 26. Another new game coming to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate in July 2025 is Wuchang: Fallen Feathers, a brand-new action Soulslike game that will join the library on July 24. In the game, players take on the role of a female pirate exploring Ancient Shu. Fans of Soulslike games have been enjoying a lot of great titles recently, and hopefully Wuchang: Fallen Feathers is yet another high-quality entry in the genre. The August 2025 lineup is filled with excitement as well. Only one game is currently confirmed, but it’s easily going to be one of the most popular new additions to the service this year. On August 26, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers will get to check out Gears of War: Reloaded, a remastered version of the original Gears of War game with improved visuals and performance. The game will also mark the series’ debut on PS5, with cross-play and cross-progression planned. While Gears of War: Reloaded is the only confirmed game for August, there are still a lot of exciting new games coming to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate throughout the summer months.
